Profile:
Likes dogs, traveling, fighting games, playing Badminton, and Japan itself. Nocturnal, as the night is when he is most productive.

Favorite food: pasta, cheese burgers, mayonnaise, and sushi. Especially loves salmon sashimi. Feed him that and he's yours.

He's working as an Architect now, although he'd rather have a clone so he could be a comic book illustrator too.

Is currently equipped with "love-goggles", so excuse him if his blog is full of cheesy entries, rainbows, and stuff that kids say gets you "cooties".

This ninja can fly, and the sky's the limit.

hayce- my coffee bean buddy

Way back 2009, I was a frequent customer at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Tomas Morato branch in Manila. I used to go there every week, with the then-lovelife. We would eat cheesecakes and coffee while I work. There was a time when I was there almost everyday for 2 weeks, when I was rushing the production of my indie comic book. And during those times, I became friends with a barista named Hayce.

Then around October of 2010, I wasn't frequenting CBTL as much, and I was already single that time. I saw Hayce again, but at CBTL Trinoma. And she recognized me! She even looked for my "friend" that she usually saw me with back then.

(More on that event here: link)

Now, flash forward to 2012: I'm back for good in Davao. And as Angel (the barista here), took my usual order of Double Vanilla Tea Latte.. another girl at the counter looked at me and said:

her: "You're from Manila, right?"
me: "yeah... why?"
her: "You look familiar.."
me: "Wait.. what's your name?"
her: "Hay.."
me: "HAYCE!!! OH MY GOD!! IT'S YOU!!"

And so again we chatted a bit. She says she's handling Cebu-Davao now, so I assume she's already a manager for CBTL. Wow. Level-up! She was saying that she asked the barista to print out the name from my swirl card to check my name because I looked so familiar. haha.

Amazing that we still recognize each other! Happy moment, indeed!

Talkin' talk

Talk isn't always cheap, nor silence isn't always golden.

Though there are things that are better left unsaid, there are always moments when talking about it is the best thing to do. What we do does not always reflect our intentions, so sometimes it's better to have a little footnote to make things clear on both sides.

I'm glad that we talked about it. At least when we do, we can compromise immediately, and get rid of whatever's bothering us and go back on track with our rainbows and butterflies. ^^

iheartYOU,

Lu

di ko na kailangan sabihin.
di ko na kailangan ulit-ulitin.
di ko na kailangan iparamdam.

kasi alam mo na yun.
...

Bwahahaha.
O, wag ka kasing assuming. Hehehe.

...

Pero seryoso..
Mahal kita, sobra.

At alam mo na yun.
